New Here
Hi everyone, I am new to SSA. My name is Andrew, I am a survivor of CSA. It has taken me 40 years to finally open up about my abuse.

Cheers, Andrew.

New here as well. Nice to meet you Andrew. First step is to admit what happened. KUDOS my friend.

Welcome to our little safe niche in the world, Andrew!

I hope you learn to feel safe here as well. Feel free to look around and read various people's contributions. Whenever you feel ready, jump in and respond or post your own questions.

By the way, there are quite a few males on the forum. My friend Lionheart is one of them.

This is just the beginning of your journey...

I hope you're very proud of yourself for opening up about your abuse. It's a big step in beginning your journey to heal and I hope you are able to find the answers and support you are looking for here. I'm also a survivor of CSA. Feel free to message me if you ever need someone to talk to.

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the forum. Like many others it took me many years to open up about the abuse I suffered as a child. Now that I am 'working through it' it really does feel like a huge weight has been lifted. No more secrets! It certainly is not an easy journey to go through, but just understanding why I am as I am really helps. On a 'bad' day it is easier to recognise why I feel like that .

Regards
Lucy x
