Sufferer Newbie - ems/fire

How does one introduce themselves in a PTSD forum? I don't know but here goes.

I have worked in EMS/Fire for over 11 years and have seen some major disasters on top of the "usual" emergency service stress. I have reached out and gotten help after realizing how bad it has gotten over the years and a few bad calls that led up to my decision.

I consider myself lucky as I am getting help "rather early" and my marriage is improving although it did almost end. Looking to get help from others and help support others going through treatment.

I hope your wife is doing her research about PTSD. I feel if you're in a relationship both people need to work together to navigate this disorder.

@Freida This is something I have learned quickly in my short time here. I hope it pays off and will update as my treatment continues.
