But that is why I like the ideas put forth in Post Traumatic Growth. Trying to go back can only lead to frustration. I know you objected to PTG somewhere, sometime on this forum, but I NEED to know there is another option than either ssss-ssuffering or medicating myself up to my ears. I literally want to break some of this - burst out of it if you will.
I objected to people picking up on PTG and using it to try and hassle and tarry sufferers into 'getting over it'. I was also worried that seen as the causes and affects of ptsd have not been fully explored scientifically, as the paper nicely demonstrates, nor applied to general medical practice and most importantly not promulgated into the wider perception of society so as to break down the barrier between mental and physical health, that jumping up and down about PTG before PTSD is allowed for only entreches sufferers and society negative image of people with the condition...
OOOO Pencil, I think you moved me to a reasonably cogent paragraph on a serious topic  . Pass the biscuits, my blood sugars gone funny!
However, I think there is life after PTSD, I think there is PTG and I think there is a time when sufferers can be free from therapy and drugs.
