is anyone fed up of hearing songs on the radio along the lines of I love my mother, or mom is the best, or mom, you taught me so much in life, then realise that your mom is the one person that really messed you up in life and you get really angry about it and are like why is there no song about I hate you mom you're the worst?

of course there are mother-hating songs. here's one:

i have written a few of my own, but have felt much better since my psychotherapy progressed far enough that i was able to let that hatred go. hate is like drinking poison and waiting for the object of your hatred to die.

“The End” by the Doors has a pretty dismal attitude toward Mother.

And I’m not a fan but I heard that Eminem frequently writes about his mom failing him.

Switch up to more rage-based music (metal, rap) and you’ll find a whole helluva lotta people processing pain.
