LOL I remember calling my first ol' beloved cat "Vlad, the impaler" (I know...bad!) at one point, when we first got him. He was a rescue cat and had had some bad stuff himself, and was pretty mean for a while, hence...but it wasn't his name.

Steve, the cat I have now is 2 years old, and he gets "kitten-chops", "teen-kitty", and "smitten kitten", not to mention "oi", and "No!" he gets this when winding up my dog, although I don't think thats what she calls him. Just remembered these this morning after listening to my dog and cat bickering.

Pet names I have called my little Zebra Finch, Crest:

My little eagle (for when he is preening in a certain way and looks regal!)
My little shark (I love sharks, especially great whites, and his gray head and black eyes makes me think of them!)
Little Prince (Especially for once when he filled his nest so high with cotton balls and sat on it like a ruler on his dias!)
Little Country Boy (for when he hops around with a piece of hay in his beak!)
My little vulture (for the certain way he holds his body and sits still when he's done for the day and getting ready to sleep!)
My little boy, good boy, baby boy (those are the no-brainers! ;))

My dad called me "Spatz" (sparrow) as a child. I absolutely love that and call my godchild (2) that, too.

My godchild calls me Hanni (say: honey) as my name is Hannah and his name is Jannes and people call him "Janni"; so he sort-of changes everything he can to end in -i, which is typically German.

"Krümel" (crumb) is a very endearing and sweet nick for kids in German, I find. It shows that a little "thing" is valued and loved big-time. :)

I got together with my ex husband at age 19. For a few years, I called him Sonne (sun) because when happy, he was radiating.

My partner calls me a range of things, but was banned from calling me 'sweetie' for a while as he absolutely killed the name.

Bubbles, Bub, Bubzie, Bubblupticus Munchicus Felanious (my latin name apparently), Hela, Heebla, Helaraus, Helasaur, Woman, Womanaries.
His name is Rhett, so I call him the Rhettatoie, Rhettasaur, Rhettus, Mr. Perfect (aka Mr.Men keyring I bought him)

We have 4 cats,

Sascha - b/w, huge, longhair - aka Cow Cat, Rotten little f*cker, Horse
Meeka - black, medium, shorthair - aka Meekazoid, black cat, little black bastard, wet nose, Meekazoidle.
Pestilence - blue-grey & white, medium, longhair - aka Pest, Pesticles, Testicle, Pessitickles, Tessiticles, Princess, Grey matter.
Neo - white, medium, longhair - aka Nano, Nanobite, Little Shitstick, White Job.

My brother's favourite thing to do is to accelerate hard out of Macca's drive through, and one day he accelerated too hard in the company truck (scaffolding) and his Fanta pouring down his leg into his workboots, so the whole day he was squelching around, so he earned the nickname 'Squishy'. He is also known as another name which I shall not repeat as he is constantly sunburned.......and my partner favourite name for him is F*cknut.

Yes, our little group has issues.

My granddad used to call me and my brother 'scone head' because we both had freckles. He called my sister a 'cotton picking chocolate box eater' because she always pinched his chocolates.

I used to call my eldest son 'titchificatious' when he was little and my youngest 'chip off' as in 'chip off the old block.'

My husband used to call me 'musk rat.' He thought it was cute! We often call each other 'Mitty' which is a private collaboration of our surname gone mad!

My budgerigar Robbie gets called Robbie Bobbie Bird because she bobs her head a lot. She also gets called 'Tweety Bird,' Robby Budgie Beaky,' 'Beaky Bird' and 'Cow Face' when she bites me!!:roflmao:

My dog Nugget we call Lemon Bisquit because once when I was on pain killers I tried to call her but it came out Bisquit. I must have been hungry.

My son is nicknamed Lam since when he was born his cousin couldn't say baby Liam so she said baby Lam and it just stuck.

Sorry, Cath, can't 'like' your post; don't understand 75% of the words used. :D

As for nick names, I watched a tv show today and the lady called her hubby socks (yes, Clinton's cat comes to mind) and her hubby calls her -- I just forgot. That could go into the "You know you have PTSD when" section. :banghead:

Anyway, good night and good luck. :wacky:
