Not Being Believed

@Alice.in.Wonderland the boxes my brother brought over from my mom's trailer is still sitting in the middle of my livingroom. Well, more pushed against the tv but still.

And he brought them soon after she died at the end of July beginning of Aug.

I tried recently to go through them and flipped out so yeah, there they sit.

You do it when you can. If they need to sit then they sit.

My sifting through the debris will be trashing it all with a quick feel to make sure there were no updated cards in my name.
I appreciate the kind words. Mourning can not be on a time table. Healing can't be either. The difference is mourning lessens if healing increases.

The world didn't come to an end huh?
My intellect says, "of course!"

Emotionally I'm saying, " what the f*ck are you talking about? Of course it will end or maybe something even worse, Trump wins the election!"
Something terrible always happens and I am going to turn into both a mental and paper hoarder. One day a pile of paper will knock me down as it falls while my dog in passing lifts his leg and pisses on me.

I think I need to work on my thought processes.

I saw a similarily titled thread and it reminded me of my current situation.

My husband of...
Your post is very important. In my new business I am offering victims documentation of crimes and subsequent incidents too, including illness as a result of such crimes.

I understand that most victims could never afford to let an attorney do all of that work, the billable hours would kill the pocket book of most victims before they could even think about suing a perpetrator in court.

Not being believed is one of the biggest button pushing insults one can toss at a survivor.
If you run into people that do "not believe" that you have been hurt, that you are ill, immediately walk the other way. Because that is what criminals do: they count on the deniability factor, meaning they really think that if they deny that you have been hurt, that you have been suffering that they are off the hook.

I have learned that anyone that attempts to make past criminal acts against me look like a silly incident, or who claims that never happened, or as in my case attempts to tell others that the exact opposite happened is a criminal himself or herself.

I steer far away from such monsters.
