There are some really good responses here, and while I don't think you are powerless and don't hear you crying victim at all, I understand your position of not being able to get a job. The suggestion of school part time and taking a job-Im guessing that without that degree, you may not even be able to pay cheap rent and utilities in a bad neighborhood. (based on where I live-I know I could not and its a real fear).
Everybody uses everybody and unfortunately it took me way too long to learn this. He is getting something out of this or would not be in it. You are out of love, and may not even like him that much...but right now, maybe he is all you have. I almost hear you asking if it is horrible to continue while you finish school. What do you contribute that makes his life more comfortable? If you stay and finish school and end it, he will get over it. While its not the most ethical thing to do...its not the end of the world either.
Sounds like you have some real boundaries to establish if you stay...you don't need a tracking device!
