I have had them again. This stopped since the end of April and just started in past couple weeks. Its nothing that I can identify. Its not anesthesia I don't thing, but it is fleeting like that. It is something specific that I have never smelled before and distracts me but then leaves in a few seconds. I can't bring it back no matter how hard I try. Then in a bit, it comes again. I just cant identify it. Its driving me crazy. Now I have had new puppies and sometimes I think I smell poo after cleaning it up when nobody else does...or so they say. I just know that this mysterious smell is related to trauma...I just know it. I have been having it the paste 2 weeks since I got a puppy. I also got a puppy in May and was having this a bit after...not sure how long. The closest I can even come is that my mother told me that my dad burned kittens in the garage but have no evidence or if I was even born yet. I did notice these moments right after we got this puppy 2 weeks ago. Now I am not having them but want to. It feels like something will eventually click.

Wondering if you know of a connection between the smells and trauma? Reason I ask is because this can also be neurological. I have olfactory hallucinations that are seizures (and controlled by meds). Just something to consider.
