I have a recently acquired mTBI(mild Traumatic Brain Injury) and started taking Ondansetron which has been a godsend for nausea.
Here's the fun part. And I'm still kinda partial to thinking that it was just a weird happenstance and will never happen again and I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.
This morning I had my first ever hallucination. I had been awake for a while. I put my phone down to do something and then turned to look so that I could pick up my phone and check the time. When I looked at my phone there was something like a big marble that was black with red dots all over it. I stared at it hard for a second, blinked hard, and this time what I saw was a moth/butterfly that was black with red dots. I kind a freaked for some reason. It just looked wrong and it had stared to move. I was actually AFRAID to wave my hand at it because I didn't want it flying in my face.
I blinked again and it was GONE, not flown away (it wouldn't have been able to have left my field of vision that quickly) but rather gone.
Yes there's a little line in the warnings about hallucinations but this is a first and I'm not experiencing any other side effects worth mentioning.
I feel stupid for even mentioning it here but would rather feel like a dope here than calling the neurologist's office about it. (I've already had a hell of a time with a different medication)
Highly unlikely there's anything wrong! I get that. I guess I just want to here other people say 'yeah des, get over it. It was nothing'
