OOPS: This Link Appears To Be Broken

For several weeks now, I get this error message when trying to get to the forum. "OOPS This link seems to be broken" I know of 2 other forum members that also have gotten it recently and I was wondering if anyone else has gotten it when trying to either log on, lurk or from within the forum itself..

Usually it will happen, and after a few tries, I am successful and can finally log on. Last night I was not, and I tried for over 3 hours, doing everything I could think of. This morning...NO Problems.......

Just very frustrating.........Plus, I am bugging the hell out of Anthony, and I really don't want to, as he has enough crap to deal with....

I have not experienced this problem. However, there was a time yesterday when I was unable to log in to the forum. I just assumed the site was down and Anthony would be working on it.

What message did you get when you tried to log on??? I also get another one, but this one is the one I get most times...

I have had the OOPS! screen several times over the past couple of weeks myself In fact, last night it happened again around mid evening. When I checked back at 11pm I was 1 of only 2 people on the forum.

I have never seen the forum with only 2 people signed in. It was obvious to me that most of the Saturday/Sunday people(depending on your location) had tryed, could not get in, and quit trying.

11pm on a weekend night and '''2''' people here, something is obviously wrong.

Yeah, you could only wish that everyone had other things to do and didn't need to seek support on a Saturday night -ha, ha, ha, ha.

I tried logging on a few times and got a message that "internet explorer could not find the webpage" when i clicked on my link, like Catjudo, I just assumed the site was down for maintenance.

Same thing happened to me Friday and yesterday and to someone else.

I asked someone to let Anthony know and the problem got fixed. But its happening again now and then.

Yes, I assumed maintenence. A few of us tried all evening here and noticed it back up at midnight, our time, which would be 3 o4 4 PM in Australia.

Should I be worried that I missed it being available? :dontknow:

The point that I am trying to make here is this.......

The first time this happened, was about 3 weeks ago. At that time I contacted 2 other forum members through email and chat, and they both said that they too, got the same message, and could not log onto the forum.....

I contacted Anthony, and he has been saying since then that the issue is on MY END, or it is a Google error, but that NOTHING is wrong on his end, either with the forum, or his server....We have been going back and forth with NO resolution, and I am guessing that he is probably as frustrated as I am........

So, what I am trying to do here, is to try and establish IF this has been an ON GOING issue for others, besides myself.

One of the other people I contacted has responded to this thread, and I am hoping that the other will also to back up my original claim...

I hope that if anyone else has had this issue that they will reply and state for how long it's been a problem......

I haven't had any problems like you descibe. Earlier today, I couldn't log in. I got a message saying something along the lines that PTSD forum was under maintainance and would be back on line in 15 minutes. I re-tried about 20 minutes later and it was fine.

Got it. I have noticed intermittant issues like last night where there have been hours I cannot get on, I assumed maintenance.

I have no chronic issues.

Amethist went for, I think, 2 weeks without being able to access the site. She is the only one I had heard of before you brought it up.

:rofl:Yea 2 weeks I was off the forum. I was ready to tear my hair out, no laughing there ISH don't forget I know where you are :eek:.

Turns out the server to the forum took a dislike to my IP address and booted me out. I tried all sorts for days to try and get back on, even by going through another web site trying to link in that way.

All sorted now, but it took some sorting, but it was OK in the end. I thought I had messed up with my new laptop and done something wrong.

But no and as the song goes "It wasn't me".

I also had problems last night....Everytime I tried going on forum it gave me the same window as when you mistype a site or when a site is "unknown" or doesn't exist !

I talked to 2 others via messenger and they had the same problem as i did, I was able to get on the forum only around midnight (Montreal time).

A few weeks ago I also had trouble logging on, every once in a while....I would get on the the site, type in my id and it brought me back to when you have to type in your name and password ! I had to make several tries before I finally was able to logg in.
