Our Pets

My feline friend, Millie, is 2 years old this month , she is a real joy to have around.:joyful: We also have Oscar; the cat that was found in the garbage dumpster, but he has to find a new home now because he bites. :(

Anyways, poor Millie is allergic to fleas and so I have to buy her some new medicine soon, a new flea collar, and some more catnip. *(she loves catnip) :p:D:inlove:

We thought of getting rid of all of our cats (we had 3 at one point) , but when it came to Millie I sat and cried for 2 straight hours and decided that I would keep her! At the moment she is asleep:sleep: on the computer monitor and is keeping me company today.

Meet my awesome, cuddle-addicted dog, Ozzie. He always goes out of his mind with happiness whenever a part of our family comes home and he loves any positive attention he can get. If I don't pet him or play with him or talk to him enough, he will follow me around until I give him what he wants. But when I'm sad, he actually comes up to me for a cuddle and tries to lick the tears away.

He isn't trained as an ESD, but he certainly is one to me. I hope he'll stick around for a long time!

Buddy is sick now. With nausea and throwing up. She hasn't been eating. Hardly drinking. Not good. Giving it another 24 hours to see if she gets better, and doing what the vet recommended, before taking her in if she doesn't change. I don't think there is anything she got into. I'm wondering if the rawhide I gave her did her in. It's sad to see her this way.

One of my daughters Sphinx cats had five healthy kittens last night. Two were breach but came out healthy. We are crossing our fingers that this batch will be able to grow up.

Her name is Pandora and she used to sleep with me. I will miss her but now her and the new kittens are up in my daughters room with food and water and a litter box. They will be safe there. The oldest granddaughter is now with them watching them. Pandora is a good mom.

We all camped out in the living room last night. Going to take a nap later on.

Britt, I am so sorry about your beloved pet. I am sure you do not need this right now. Hugs.

We had a puppy over this weekend and Buddy, who is around 20 lbs give or take, didn't know what to make by it. If it ran away, she would run after it barking, but if it turned around she'd hightail it back to us. She acts funny with kids too. Sinking into the ground. Sometimes barking. Is this normally how small dogs work? Our other dog, who is bigger, played with the puppy. Tess was also a good girl and let the puppy get away with things. Buddy on the other hand wouldn't let the puppy get near her. I think it is all about size. The puppy was about her same size. She is not use to that and doesn't know what to make of it. She is not this way with adults who are strangers.

My cat, Sparkles, is my sleep buddy. He likes to curl in with me and hold my arm or hand. He's about 11. He's an orange and white tabby. And he has lot's to say, always. He is finally coming in the living room after a two year hiatus because of the small dog we got.(Buddy).

Tonight we looked at the various animals available at the humane society and our hearts broke. Both my young son, and I, had a hard time seeing all those pets without homes. Especially the injured ones or older ones. It's sad to think they live their whole lives with someone only to be uprooted. I keep all pets until death do us part. It is not easy. One of our dogs suffered from incontinence from the day we got her but we still kept her. I understand there are reasons people can't keep their pets. I just think it's sad. So I shouldn't have looked at them because now I am sad. I'm going to cuddle with my little Sparkles now. That makes me happy.
