Are you a veteran? Are you suffering from PTSD? Are you a parent? The ArKIDS lab in the Psychology Department at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville is currently recruiting parents who have PTSD and/or who smoke to participate in a paid research opportunity. The study involves you, the parent, coming into the laboratory with your son or daughter (between the ages of 10-17) to complete some questionnaires, interviews, and an assessment of your child’s brain activity using EEG. Parents are compensated $20 for their 1-2 hour part and adolescents are compensated $50 for their 3-4 hour part of the study.
Our goal is to learn more about how stressful events in parents' lives affect their relationships with their children and how we can better assist families during difficult periods, especially adolescence. If you are interested in participating, please call our laboratory directly at (479) 575-3523 and leave a message regarding the "ABI study" for Sarah.
