Hi this still isn't clear as "substance" can mean just illegal drugs and alcohol or in a more liberal sense be expanded to include very legal herbals and supplements (which if you know what you're doing can indeed get you high), or even commonplace things like caffeine.

It helps to spell it out as you're "in the field" so you know what "substance" means to you. It's not so clear to the rest of the world.
