I love mockingbirds!

I love them too except not the same way I love some of the gentler species . I’ve been feeding birds 30 years or so I think I’m an amateur ornithologist lol. I’d say I admire them because the fight fearlessly against everything around them. I can always tell when one is in a scrape even from blocks away, the battle cry is so loud distinct and familiar. : )

I have thought about these for decades. We called them Marathon Bars and they stopped selling them here when i was a kid. They were my favorite. A friend opened a candy store recently and ordered them for me. It's the little things.

Fun day of golf. Meeting Kiefer Sutherland who was in the group behind us was an unexpected bonus.

Went hiking in a local canyon with a friend yesterday morning, it seemed like every flower that could was blooming!

Cream Cups, in the Poppy family.

Monkey Flower, in the Snapdragon family

Massive cottonwood trees grew along the stream. The bases of their trunks flowed over and around boulders.

Larkspur or Delphinium, in the Buttercup family.
