I love mockingbirds!

I love them too except not the same way I love some of the gentler species . I’ve been feeding birds 30 years or so I think I’m an amateur ornithologist lol. I’d say I admire them because the fight fearlessly against everything around them. I can always tell when one is in a scrape even from blocks away, the battle cry is so loud distinct and familiar. : )

I have thought about these for decades. We called them Marathon Bars and they stopped selling them here when i was a kid. They were my favorite. A friend opened a candy store recently and ordered them for me. It's the little things. ❤️

Went hiking in a local canyon with a friend yesterday morning, it seemed like every flower that could was blooming!

Massive cottonwood trees grew along the stream. The bases of their trunks flowed over and around boulders.
