So we finally have a break in the weather and I'm out with the camera. At first I figured this was an Golden Eagle as he was way up there and hard to see. It was only when I loaded the photos on my computer that I realized it's a Turkey Vulture or Turkey Buzzard (my telephoto lens is way better than my eyesight...lol). I realize that those of you that live in the south see these all the time but you never see them up here. Sort of made my day.

Beautiful shots, @Fahrenheit451 ! They're a daily visitor in our 'hood. I especially love watching them on super windy days. It looks like they're having so much fun surfing the breezes. Glad they paid you a visit.

Beautiful picture @Fahrenheit451 !!! I live in the South and they really are magnificent beautiful birds. It is amazing the wingspan the older ones have. Great photo!!

Trying to identify the feathery fern-like plant. Closest I can come is hemlock. There is a massive field of it near my building.

That's one of the plants that came up on my identification app. Leaves aren't quite right, though.
