Discovered a new friend last week. She seems content to live on these, a Datura leaf for a couch and Lemon Basil for food. She’s a katydid, first one I’ve ever gotten to know personally!

One of the advantages to having a small patio is the opportunity to know individual plants and animal visitors. Since she’s a female (has an ovipositor) she won’t sing for me, but maybe she will attract a gentlemen?

The various seedling babies, that I've so far managed not to kill, reaching for the light as they await more consistent warmer weather to go to their spot in the garden outdoors....

Banana/oatmeal/peanut butter/dark chocolate chip cookies that I made while I read more about caring for our shiitake mushroom log...

@whiteraven your cat is beautiful. I'm sorry she is having to undergo chemo and truly hope she makes it thru. I had a Tortie for 24 years. I miss her still. Her name was Diva. Give your baby a hug for me if she will let you. And a hug for you loving your girl so much!

It's her bandage from chemo. She has one every time we go. Gorgeous turtle!
