Even plants can feel insecure. An Agave attenuata shoots up a flower almost overnight in the hope someone will notice so it will have a chance of reproducing.

It took me twice as long to walk from the tram stop today because I had to stop and take pictures of this tree I have no idea what sort of tree it is but I love flowers…

If there are enough of them? The petals will blow like snow in the sunshine as soon as a good breeze kicks up.

@Friday are those different varieties of cherry tree blossoms? I am so impressed with how Japanese culture categorizes things! My uncle grew orchids and I read one of his trade magazines and in Japan there is way of showing orchids without the flowers—they have detailed categorization of the leaves and the ways the leaves attach to the stem!

@OliveJewel They’re “kamon” aka Family Crests, so they’re all different representations of a cherry blossom/sakura flower

The summer wind E 20 mph. You can see the fog in the top pic rolling in from offshore. Cold in the wind but sunny. Beautiful bike riding, we did about 5 mi.
