Thanks Iam and Shelley, the Natural Bridge is a beautiful spot that my children affectionately refer to as " the hundred acre woods". Our beaches, on the other hand, are probably our best natural asset.

Couldn't understand why she growled instead of attacking until I learned about her cubs. Scared the beegebies out of me.
You got lucky!! When they have cubs their extremely protective. Came onto one in the wild here in Oklahoma. As to hearing them, once you have you will never forget it. Sends chills up your spin. sounds like a woman screaming blooder murder.

Cool photos and mural Alixi! 3 months without power? Holy COW!

We got snowed in for a month once, but only lost power for 3 days. We cooked on our woodstove so it was kind of fun. Only worry was getting enough water from the well for our horses. Had to hike to a friends where we left our car every morning and evening to get to work. Was kind of fun really, carrying a lantern so we could see, bags of groceries back at night. I kept telling my husband.... "We're living life!"

The longest had to go without power was 5 months. I lived 1/2 back off the county road. Didnt mind walking the driveway, did mind there was 7 miles of ice covered dirt roads. That ice storm did 5 inches ice on ground (1 inch in the trees) then followed by 8 inches snow. Had 3 salt trucks fip over on the main highway I drove on to get work and back home.

Ok Heather asked....... so here are some photos from our trip to Vancouver British Columbia. What a beautiful city! Most are from our trip to the aquarium though there's a couple of the harbor and one of a sculpture that I applied artistic effects to ;o)

AWESOME photos Reclusive! I wish I had a lense that could take a clear close up of the moon like that. Simply beautiful!

Thank you so much! It's actually a pretty cheap lense - only $100 brand new. It's a sigma 70-300. I'm going to try to remember to get a shot of the Supermoon on Saturday. So exciting!

Thank you Lam! I love them. The house boat with the reflection in the water is sooo cool. I love your "eye". You truly have a gift girlfriend:tup:
