It's technically called a "portuguese man of war" but everyone just calls it a blue jellyfish. I've never been stung but its sting is known to be excruciatingly painful.

I've heard that about them. Nothing in our waters we have to fear.

The light coloured section is actually Horseshoe Falls from behind the falls. You go into the underground tunnels to see this. Then the tunnel leads out onto a platform which is just a matter of feet from the falls. Again you sure get wet on the platform.

When I was on the maid of the mist boat I didn't have the raincoat covering my whole sleeve and I had to wring it out after I got off the boat. It was that wet.

Barmouth, North Wales. I went here most years on holiday as I child. I went back recently and still love it!
