Photos Of Nature Where You Live

My little holiday house in the woods Overijssel, Holland. Unfortunately there has been no snow this winter. Plenty of deer and squirrels climbing the trees.

Rick A. - Just love the beautiful majestic pictures of where you live.

I took all these photos this past summer and fall.

1) A bird standing still on the waterfront.
2) A ferry just leaving the dock.
3) A day at the races.
4) An empty park.
5) Some flowers standing tall.

Just realized I reposted my ferry picture. Oops!

Thank you Loloma on the cabin compliment ... I call her "The SHIRE" and it gets pretty busy in the summertime with folks/friends that do come to Alaska. Fact is I just had another visitor ... if their not eating my shrubs ... their chasing me around the cabin. The critters up here can get pretty sassy:-)

I'm a recluse Loloma ... but living out here has a mega plus. I have 'combat' PTSD from my tour in Vietnam and I have very little military fly overs (war planes, helicopters) and Alaska has very few 'thunderstorms' that reminds me of B52 bombing strikes.
I get around that 'stuff' and I'm 'twitchy' for the rest of the day. I in fact used to dig going to San Francisco and did L.A. a few times ... but not anymore. Give me 'wilderness' or give me death :-) ~Peace~

My picks are taken in the greater Seattle area in Washington state. I enjoy where I live, as well. I'm hoping to get a new camera for my birthday that's coming up real soon. I would really enjoy seeing more of your pictures. May peace be with you as well. Thank you Rick A.

Beautiful day canoeing on a lake in Alaska.

You're photos are stunning Rick, truly stunning! My hubby was a canoeist with the Royal Air Force and taught me. (Well, he capsized me on a very cold Welsh lake so I could learn how to get out!). I'm still a novice and only kayak on still water.

This is my H teaching me before he tipped me over on Balla lake, Wales ! He can hand roll all the way over...show off!
