I remember when I spent my time in Afghanistan I heard the A-10 fire a few rounds and then several days later got to hear the AC-130 fire off a few rounds. My first thought on both was somebody is having a bad day from both our troops stand point of needing that firepower helping them and from the bad guys perspective that with having that stuff fired at you if you aren't dead you are f*cked.
