Hello

I just need a little help regarding my feelings after a plane crash I was involved in , I got burnt and cut and broken and am currently going through and almost finished physiotherapy but the mental health side of it seems harder, I've had all the ' get back on the horse ' , ' snap out of it ' etc etc.

Is a year a long time to still be sugaring mentally from this type of trauma.

I keep feeling a little weak and guilty about still suffering mentally from this crash

Well, yes and no. You've been in physical recovery (now physiotherapy) since the crash, sounds like? So, you're still actively dealing with a big aspect of the aftermath.

Have you considered seeing a trauma specialist, specifically to do something like EMDR therapy?

The nightmares are really the issue now re the fire so I'm going to look into something a little more targeted towards that. Made me feel a lot better as I was starting to think my reaction to the incident was over the top , thank you
