Domestic violence counselling should be independent of religion.

It is a real worry.

So should getting any welfare services.

Misson Australia won't spend money on wages so they keep hiring people just out of a Diploma of Social Work or whatever it is called just out of TAFE. People who have been cutting edge, teaching at universities don't get a look in. And it is the victims that suffer.

Well that is typical of this government. They treat themselves as captains and make captain's decisions about everything, instead of listening to there experts about climate, education, mental health services, or even sound economic principals. They are true narcissistic in their approach to government

Jesus a diploma from TAFE means nothing. That is scary. Even straight out of Uni means nothing. Experience is what counts.

It is beyond embarrassing @Lizio.

And we are going to lose the Great Barrier Reef because of some of the changes that have been made in terms of letting business dump their stuff on it. I feel so upset about all that is going on. All the experts quite en masse so the public would know how dire it is.

And the latest cuts to mental health has my psychiatrist pulling her hair out. She has worked for more than 40 years to enact changes.

So yes they are ignoring the smart people who actually know stuff. Very scary.

Yes great economic management there. Destroy one of your biggest assets and income earners by dumping waste there for a dinosaur industry that is on it's way out rather than investing in green technology that this country could really lead the world in. Great economics there.

Lots of short term cost cutting which are false savings as it will all turn out to be much more expensive in the long run.

Having said that the diocese of broken bay winch is catholic and I get DV counselling from are very good and they have experienced counsellors and they don't push religion and all their help has been good.

@Lizio that is great. I am not hearing the same for services down where I live though.
