Wow, again I am so thankful for the responses and so amazed at how helpful they are! I really appreciate the time taken to reply.
I have read all of your posts, and thank you to @joeylittle for that link. I am still undecided, but a lot more informed. I think I am going to go ahead with the initial appointment and see if the psychiatrist can provide an insight into what I should do next. I will have to just make some budget cuts to get there!
