That is exactly right. Cured, be definition, firstly applies that a treatment works for a majority, and that treatment removes the issue completely, in a medical context.It is interesting that you make a distinction between cured and healed. These days when I bump into something triggering and the need for isolation or disassociation set in, I refer to them as old war wounds.
This is why politicians and other hierarchies have lost their jobs over using "cured" when referring to PTSD vs. treatable, healed, or the myriad of words you could use. It doesn't go away, it isn't removed, its more... dorment, waiting to overwhelm you at any given chance and will do so, if appropriate action is not taken immediately to control it.
I am starting to already doubt SGB may be the cure I hoped it could be, as results are quite indifferent already, they are already excluding severe / complex cases, as its not working on them, which means, those with real lifetime PTSD, its not working at any substantial rate, like any other treatment has also shown, thus its ineffective possibly. Time will tell on that one.
