Can't we all live on our own island somewhere? I'm so tired of being the odd one. Of nobody understanding or caring? Anyone? I'll pack first.

Too many of us would want to join you on the island, and the hilarity is, we'd all still feel like the odd one out and want to find an island of our own. ;)

We need a chain of islands so that we can each have our own, and nobody could visit unless we said it was OK. I think that could work. But yes, my safe place has always been an island, and I have always had a dream of living on my own island away from everything else.

An island chain would indeed be nice.. or perhaps a ring with a larger land mass in the middle so we could still have BBQ's and stuff. Yeah, I'd go with that...

Though I often feel like hiding away on an island, it's usually the result of frustration with not being able to ask for or find the help I want or need. I want to hide away on an island because then I won't be around people to whom I really wish I could explain what it's like to be inside my head.

More deeply, however, I want to be known, accepted, and loved in a way that helps me grow, heal, and change. Though even then, regular access to an island getaway would still be awesome!
