I have told very. Very. Few people. It's not worth it.

Totally agree Missy. I havent told anybody. My GP and psych told me, but I have not told anybody else. My secret to keep.

I tell people on a need to know basis. But even when I've had a panic attack when other people are around, I still don't tell them. I don't like having to go into details as to why I have PTSD, because it's too dark for most people. Plus it helps me when I try to fool myself into thinking I don't have it because I'll put myself out into the world more. I just know if I'm having trouble managing anxiety, than I need a day off from everything.
