Jimmy, Sorry brother. I meant no harm I hope you know. We taped EVERY grenade with a bit of gaffer tape or some tape before carrying them even smoke ones. Stories of guys learning the hard way were passed down in my unit.
I was always the guy either getting pranked,or pranking. Boot polish inside a helmet liner....glueing someones boots to the deck...swapping everyones clothes to different locations during firewatch while in boot camp. (I got away with that one and my Di's were pissed!)
Always fun never mean or cruel and never personal mate.
I even took the firing pin out of one of my friends machine guns one day before we went to the range. He broke the weapon down 5 times and missed the fact that the pin was missing. ( It did reappear the 5th time) but we were packing up by then and he never got a chance to shoot. It was really funny as he was always the best shot and we had a rule the worst shooter buys...he bought that night for the first time. It takes some creativity and cunning to prank good and not be an ass.
On that vid, I love how the driver made it out of harms way faster than the guy the grenade landed next to. Priceless.
Once I had my eyes glue shut with tooth paste. Mint. Imagine waking up with your eyes glued shut. Classic.
