We stopped a whole bar one night;
half the blokes were singing Shane McGowan and the other half the female vocals...
we had the bar laughing.
Most except for a few civvies who were all pissed that their women found us entertaining.
To rub it in we bought them a round, toasted them and then mooned them all.haha

Listen to the Tragically Hip, good Canadian band and a lot of their songs about Cdn history, landmarks and icons.
Great band to listen driving in the country or hanging out in the woods w the boys.

Johnny Cash didnt surpise me tho.. he coulda kicked any of their asses singing... he knew the pain..

Dropkick Murphys and Andrea Bocelli surprised me tho.. gonna post my fav song by him one sec...

Trust is like a coat, sometimes you need a huge parka and others just a windbreaker.
It takes time to weather things and if you know that person is there then it puts much at ease.
If your questioning sometimes you have to find the source to those questions as much as you must find the answers.
I learned to live solo for now... actually a lot of the NOWS are temporary transitions or stages.
We get used in the military to multi task and according to each MOS each holds certain priority, but as a service member you must meet each goal with high expectations and efficiency. The one thing we cant do is fail because that means a life is on the line. It doesnt give us much room for error and its hard to learn if we dont have the freedom to make mistakes. And the things that go wrong become our drastic errors. Thats why when we're out and dealing w civvies we lose our minds at the careless indifference the seem to live under. We need to learn to become human againwhich is difficult cause all we do in the service is try to defy what the avg person does.
Like the old saying goes "In the US Army, we do more before 9am than most ppl do in a day"
Go easy on that too, its easy to beat yourself yp. I did that all day today but what ppl dont realize is what we did is nowhere near what most could ever fathom. That I think is what causes animosity amongst civvies and military. The civvie a-whipes think we're trying to be superheroes when in fact we are humans trying to do very complex and difficult tasks.

And yes, I am an old school punker too;
the clash, pistols, ramones, bad religion, black flag, minor threat just to name a few.
I love ava Maria it always brings a tear to my eye. Passionate and powerful with a lot of piety in there somewhere.
