When Lou Reed was still depressed or on Heroin he made some pretty solid music. (hated him when he got all happy) The New York album is probably some of the best guitar work he ever did. (Yes and I'm a big Velvet Underground fan) And he recruited some awesome session guitarists as well. These two songs really hit home.
I like this. It does not even 1% help with my mentals BUT I like it. Slovenia doesn't have a massive amount going for it apart from a friend of mine who makes fantastic Sliva... and these. When I am feeling particularly chipper, I like this.
Wow!!! That blows the shit out of depressing Lou Reed any day. Actually made my night. Ummm fire truck washing. Yes. Also I have to say that guys accordion is pretty kick ass as well. Nice one Alan.
On the way to the shop this morning, I have got BFPS on the radio. They have just played a song that I have not heard for years, and it got me all welled up. So I need to share it with you guys.
I think it would make a good, "Combat PTSD forum Hymn"
Well today has been quite crap (my fault) and I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself and this is the soundtrack and
YOU ARE ALL GOING TO LISTEN TO IT. Sorry....
bad day 1, (edit - This is almost a f#cking anthem for us....)
withdrawal....
pushing away, these two sound upbeat but the words...
and all I wanted to do was put up the links, so I apologise in advance, Anthony, for the space taken up. Wipe it if you want.
My question Ned, Is there anything in this great wide world that is not our fault. Hell, I think I'm about to be blamed for WWII and AIDS. Thats how I feel anyway.
Nirvanna........ All Appologies. Yup. Know how Mr. Cobain felt when he wrote that one.
Yeah, I'm about done with the words "I'm sorry". Doesn't do shit for anyone and makes me feel worse. Sometimes you just have to say "f*ck it" and move on. Cold bastard I am. But hell. When can you stop paying for the past.
