The one on Saturday was only 12 euros a ticket, the 6th is 20, but there are the Hambones and another band, trying to remember what the name is, 6 hours of Blues and Jazz

this goes out to the strong hearted significant others that still wait for us to come back even today, this is their song to us...

And to the strong hearted sig other I hope everyone finds one day..

6 hours of Blues and Jazz

Dave it might end up with us both in jail but sounds like from your music you posted, we could make a night of it.. love me some blues... those bands were great!

Instead of a night behind bars buddy, be a night in my garden, fire going, and some decent tunes going with some great beers, where you sleep is where you stay!!

I'm going to get all Salty and depressed now. Not sure what happened today. I've been up for days and feeling pretty good. Went out to do some shopping for a friend I'm helping out as he has a broken ankle and then Wam! In the shitter again. Then this song came on the radio. This happened when I was growing up in Wisconsin. It was shocking news. But it should not be surprising. The great lakes have claimed more ships than the Bermuda triangle. They play it every November 1st where I grew up. And it took a Canadian to crack the whole feeling around it. Of course allot of people consider Wisc, Minn, and UP Mich. Canadian. Same sense of humor anyway. Wish the Canooks would annex us....maybe I'd move back.

I think the most chilling lyric is "Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours"

Fun fact: Maynard James Keenan was a forward observer in the U.S. Army at one point in his life, before he pursued a career as a rock star. He is the front man of A Perfect Circle and Tool. And he has a one-man band called Puscifer.

I think every man ends up knowing a girl like this at some point in his life.

I never really gave A Perfect Circle the time of day until recently, and I'm just now realizing how awesome some of their music was.

This one, which was a hit back in the day, kind of took on a new meaning for me since I discovered this about the singer. This song is apparently about his mother.

Ahhh. Been a Tool fan since Day One.

Few rock stars have their head in the right place like this band. They certainly do it their way. Funny thing is, they signed a 5 record deal with one of the big names. Now the record company thinks this band will crank out 5 records in 4 years. Nope, 20 years later, we're still waiting for number 5. James Maynard Keenan pan. "Well, we have other jobs, we don't really work for you." LMAO. Thats the way to handle them.

Damn, I'm old! Music has become so liquid. Thanks for the above, both enlightening and entertaining. I'm gonna slip something ancient in here,.,,

Different, anyway...

Oh Yeah. Hunted down the lyrics to that one. If your hearing is crap like mine, you get used to hunting down lyrics. Huh??? This song may define the "Civie"

Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavour
It happens to be like;
Killed by the husband
Drowned by the ocean
Shot by his own son
She used the poison in his tea
And kissed him goodbye
That's my kind of story
It's no fun 'til someone dies

Don't look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie
Into the TV
Stare like a zombie
While the mother
Holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky crying
Why, oh why?
'cause I need to watch things die
From a distance

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
You all need it too, don't lie

Why can't we just admit it?
Why can't we just admit it?

We won't give pause until the blood is flowing
Neither the brave nor bold
The writers of stories sold
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing

I need to watch things die
From a good safe distance

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same so
Why can't we just admit it?

Blood like rain come down
Drawn on grave and ground

Part vampire
Part warrior
Carnivore and voyeur
Stare at the transmittal
Sing to the death rattle

La, la, la, la, la, la, la-lie

Credulous at best, your desire to believe in angels in the hearts of men.
Pull your head on out your hippy haze and give a listen.
Shouldn't have to say it all again.
The universe is hostile. so Impersonal. devour to survive.
So it is. So it's always been.

We all feed on tragedy
It's like blood to a vampire

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
Much better you than I
