Is it possible to have a trauma after combat that triggers your past PTSD?

I think I understand what you mean. Yes, it is possible to have a recent trauma that triggers trauma from the past. Its even possible for something relatively mundane (non-trauma) to trigger trauma from the past. (This is what happened to me, that is, something minor happened to me which triggered trauma from my past, 25 years after the fact.)

I believe it to be the case for me, my trauma was 30 years ago, Recent events in the last five years have been to much for me to cope with.

Yes, very possible. It's like the old cliche "the straw that broke the camel's back", sometimes new events bring out past unresolved traumas. If you're struggling, it doesn't matter what that last straw was- a therapist can help.
