Hi Everyone,

Like my title says, that is what I have. I just got diagnosed a few months ago and I am in the beginning stages of treatment. I have only identified a few of my triggers, which I found from blacking out and losing my mind in fits of anger. I have some support but no one to really relate to and that is why I am here. I wish everyday I could just be normal.

Welcome, Kris! I'm sorry that you are in need of support, but glad you have found this special place! It is amazing how much a lot of us have in common, especially with early childhood abuse! There is a vast amount of information here, and stories of surviving!

This is a safe, compassionate forum and you will meet some VERY fine folks!

Blessings to you!

Welcome Kris, sorry for your bad expriences, but like the others have mentionned, glad you have found this place. There are 2 other sister forums here : [DLMURL]http://sexabuse.ptsdforum.org[/DLMURL] and [DLMURL]http://combat.ptsdforum.org/[/DLMURL] which you may find helpful.

Hi Kris,

Welcome to the PTSD Forum. One of the hardest parts of having PTSD is feeling like you're alone. But here you will find people that really do understand. The information and the support from members of this forum are extremely helpful in healing.

Take care and looking forward to hearing more from you.

I wish the SAME thing every single day. Been saying it for years and years. I just want to be NORMAL.

What is normal?
I'm in recovery now but for years i've wanted to be 'normal' too, thinking that was what everyone else was.

Normal for me is being able to keep my symptoms under control so that life can be good again, so that i can enjoy my family & work again. Hoping you will all find this place one day. Its hard work getting there but you can do it, very small steps & a whole lot of determination!
Take & use all the advice you can.
