Last year when I was in the midst of unraveling I wrote a frenzied story about a guy who was where I was and it got published. I named the main character after myself, and most of the story is based on real things in my life. I'm about to publish book number 2 in June.
I'm a magazine writer and my T suggested I write about my pain, so I did, my first work of fiction and something constructive came from it. I won't list the title so no one accuses me of spamming.

But I think this qualifies as a success story, or at least something positive.
If you're feeling isolated, pent up, and alone, write a story about it - it does make you feel better.

Congratulations! Framing our stories and hardship in art can be so incredibly cleansing. Extra big kudos for being able to write something with enough clarity and skill to make it publishable. I know sometimes writing with a lot of emotion can be difficult in the sense that it's so personal it's hard to ensure it remains polished and marketable.

@Brenton Put a smile on my face!!! Marvelous and wonderful.

Odd, and don't know why or how it works, but I write books in my sleep. That in-between non sleep I have. Often writing the next chapters of a book I am reading. Nothing gets on paper, yet.

Bravo.

So awesome!

You've told your story to the world.

You've probably made others feel less alone.

Both are great things.

(I hope you're proud of yourself!)
