Quitting my job - I cannot live my life settling for things that make me miserable.

I have quit my full-time job due to stress/burn out. I am looking forward to recovering from how mentally exhausted this type of work has made me.

I’m going to take this time to try pursue something I truly love. I cannot live my life settling for things that make me miserable.

I can relate to that feeling. I had 3 weeks off work and then couldn't go back. I have taken extra time off and re-thinking everything: where I live, what to do for work, my values, beliefs etc. I thought I knew myself pretty well and in some ways I did, but I was surviving on routine. Time to create and envision new possibilities. Wishing you all the best 😊

i was offered early retirement and easily decided to stay on doing what i love, except now it is tarnished by the thought- what if i am missing out on something better? Hard to get past that one.
i respect the decision, better is better.
