Raped At Gun Point With My Children In The House. Ptsd Is A Lonley World.

4 years still feels like yesterday. Therapy doesn't help me enough. I was raped because of the love of my life my childrens father. He got into a fight and his friend (and another guy and a dog) came after me. I opened the door to a gun pointing at me. then he raped me. I relive this trauma every day. till find it hard to talk.

I understand how hard it is to relive your trauma every day. Talking about things when you're ready to really helps.

That is horrible, I am so sorry that you were traumatized that way!!! :( It is so tough to relive the trauma, I hope that you will not have to relive it many more times before you are finally free of it!!!

Are you in therapy by any chance? Therapy and medication made a big difference in my life.
I hope you are getting help and not going through this all alone!!!

I am sorry you went through that , and if you aren't already please get to see a therapist, living with that alone in your head and trying to come to terms with it will be re traumatising you day after day- that's PTSD

Nothing will ever take away what has happened to you, but talking is your first step, if you do go the therapy route, make sure you find somebody you connect with and can trust

I read through alot of the posts on this forum, and it does help to lift that feeling of isolation, some days PTSD makes you feel the loneliest person in the world.
