Rapid Fire Flashbacks?

I'm curious to know what others think or if anyone else experiences this. My flashbacks can last from a few seconds to minutes. Sometimes it's like one after another after another in rapid succession within a minute or so (I'm just guessing at timing...). I hope I'm doing an ok job of explaining it. Like I feel transported from one memory to another to another so quickly it's debilitating and very upsetting.

Can anyone relate? Does anyone have an explanation of this?

Some times I have a flashback that seems like this. I have had to pull over my car before because it was almost like all I could see was these images.
I talked to my T after and she said it could have been a flash back and then intrusive memories/ thoughts.
Like when you still are getting these thoughts after your triggered, and after a flashback were your brain keeps bringing up memories.

What ever it is it definitely can be debilitating, and incredibly upsetting.

What helps me is stopping whatever I'm doing. Driving, eating, writing whatever it is and do a grounding exercise and really through myself into it.
One that helps me is taste I carry around tik taks and gum and if this happens I try to get away go to the bathroom park my car whatever and just focus all my attention on the flavor, and texture, smell, whatever I can notice.

Most of mine of that type are combat related.

Or it's my solid sign I'm somewhere near seizure, eventually migraine, and need to slow the f*ck down.

Funnily enough, actually fighting again? They move. Quiet peaceful sleep. Reality super clear and present. Pictures & else files right and realistically. My mood is well and stable. Knack on my reactions functions fine.

I seriously consider renaming them to PeacetimePesters flashbacks.

yup. I had a thread going about pretty much the exact same thing. Use to think they were just intrusive thoughts but yeh, they're actually flashbacks.

Maybe this will be helpful
