I have been away from the site for probably six months. Went through a bit of a rough spot for a while, even with meds and therapy. Just thought I would check in for a minute. Looks like the site got a facelift. Pretty nice and still functional, so that is good.
As for me, for those who do not know me, I am retired USAF. In total, from 1998 through 2010, I did eight combat deployments. Most of my PTSD is tied to 365 day in Iraq from late 06 to late 07. I was at Basrah, which most Americans have no clue about…suffice it to say, it was bad…an entire year of bad. Did OEF in 2001 and OIF again in 2009. Did OSW in 1998 combined with Desert Fox. The other four deployments I can’t say much about.
Anyway, I am still in therapy (group) and it is going well. Still on the meds. Ups and downs. I am sure most of you know.
I am going to read up on what I have missed. Hope everyone is doing as well or better than they were the last time I was lurking around. Peace.
