New Here
Hi, my name is Dale. I'm new to the site, and not really sure what to say. I was diagnosed with PTSD about 4 years ago after returning from Iraq. I'm here because I want to meet people like myself, and find out if talking about it will help. I feel alone in the world. Like no one understands.

Hello Dale. Welcome to the forum. There is a sister site for soldiers only. http:// they know exactly what you are talking about.

Hi dale,
Welcome! (You are welcome both here and the combat site!)

Welcome to the forum. You are not alone. Plenty here know what it's like to live with PTSD. The causes vary hugely, but we all suffer in similar ways. There is great information here to learn how to deal with PTSD, and how to manage your symptoms. You are definitely not alone.

Welcome, I'm new to this too. Keep talking it helps. It will help you to regain your control over the memories and triggers.

Hi Dale,

I work around Combat Vets, many of which have PTSD, and this has been very good for me. That said, there is a certain level of comfort/trust inherent in talking to those that share similar experiences.

Welcome aboard. (Or something like that)

Thank you all for your support and it's good to know you all are out there. It's going to be difficult for me to open up but I'm here because maybe talking about it will help... I hope.
