This is a friend who 13 years ago stayed with me for about 3 months, i helped her moved interstate. And when she had no money, without asking I gave her $500. Never asked for a return date. Never been paid back.

So yeah it perturbs me a bit. She basically asked when I was planning on leaving. She saud, "do you need like 2 weeks?" without a job, yeah sure that works. Ho hum...

Think I need a bigger rain dance Pencil. Everything is swallowing me alive as I'm trying to figure out what to do.

I'm doing an even bigger rain dance. I know that feeling of being swallowed alive. Is it possible to say to your roommate - 'Go to hell, I'm staying till I'm on my feet'? Crap option I know, but sometimes we just have to act like sociopaths for survival.

And, I could be mistaken (forgive me if I am) but I think I remember that you do have religious faith. If so, this might be the time ....

I am sorry. Your friend should be ashamed. How long have you been there with her?

I hope you don't mind me throwing out ideas for you. I am sure you have thought of them all but you never know.

What about a childminding/house managing job temporarily as they often let you live in.

If you get a job that is under $10 an hour could it not still be enough to fund you finding a basic room in a hostel temporarily while you look for something else? Any friends you could offer to help with their children for a room for a fixed period of time?

Someone on here here working as a secret shopper for agencies which I thought was a novel idea. Even stuffing envelopes is better than nothing and can at least mean that you have more options when choices some up.

Horrible question but what about your ex boyfriend. :meh:

Dear Abstract- THANK YOU!!! I really do appreciate it. Some options require more time than others. Yeah I wish she would've asked me what is going on versus the "well you need to go." My ex? No he will never, not because he doesn't care. I know he is scared of us becoming enemies. He is still healing. Otherwise he'd give me the shirt off his back. Sigh...

I am looking at alternative options. They all just require a lot of effort. Argh!!!! Everything costs money even going into the city. I am going to check out some work exchanges though. Sigh....just gets better from here, eh????
 
Good for you for going out and interviewing and looking your best.:) I think that things happen for a reason. My husband was looking for a job for a while and went for a few interviews and was really down on himself when he did not get a call back. I told him things happen for a reason but it still bothered him. Now after perseverance he has a great job and he said he was glad he did not get hired for any of the other positions. He told me I was right which does not happen very often :)
