Reluctant To Apply For Ssi/ssdi, Experiences Anyone?

She is a mixed breed. Mom was a Great Dane/St. Bernard, dad was a brindle English Mastiff. She was about 2 in this picture, she likes to lay her head on my bed and say woof until I get up. Her name is Nugget. She weighs 150 lbs. I also have her sister, Bella. My son says I'm one big dog short of a crazy big dog lady, lol.

Oh and yeah she is cute, probably why she gets away with half the crap she does lol. It is so hard to stay mad at her, she is adorable and a charmer. When she is in trouble she acts super cute, I can usually resist it but my girlfriend folds lol. She knows sit, shake, other side (shake), lie down, wait, catch, up (walking on two legs), and "where's mommy?" (finds me). I still need to teach her some other stuff, but she is pretty smart.

We are lying in bed right now, we worked out and played earlier so we are letting our bodies relax for a little while. She is currently at my feet dreaming away, her legs keep moving so I think she is dreaming of playing. I really hope we get this place, she would love an acre to just be a dog in I think. I love her so much.

Lol I love her so much in fact that I originally was going to post a short addition, but then got carried away talking about her.

Lol that is one big Nugget. Wow would have never guessed that mix. Holy crap 150 lbs?! Kaia is around 70 lbs and she takes up almost our whole bed, I can only imagine having 2 huge dogs lol! Ah who am I kidding, more to love. You might be one big dog short of being crazy big dog lady, but who cares when you have big bundles of love like that?

The dog talk is definitely a positive twist to the thread huh? I don't know about you all but my dogs give me something no human could. The love from a dog is so much different, even if you're grumpy or sad or just a plain mess they will always see you as their everything. Even a lot of abused or rescued dogs possess the ability to love like that, some may take time but that's because some are scared.

I hate when people profile dogs as bad or vicious. Look at Kaia, yeah she is SO vicious (sarcasm) lol. I saw something on the news about a Pitbull attacking a child in NY. The only thing I could thinj of is "Great another human screwing it up for the breed.". I don't believe there are bad dogs, just bad owners/people. End rant.

I think my girl is a perfect example of that, she is super friendly but she will not hesitate to protect me. She knows the difference between friend/enemy, good/bad. If there is no direct threat she is just one big goofy ham. Sorry I get pretty passionate about dogs lol.

Today is the day that we apply for the rental, I am so anxious about it. Strangely enough it is to me a good anxious, because I am excited and hoping. Long story short (I won't bother ya'll with details), the owner has forced us to move out by the 1st. So if we don't get this place, our choices are not in the greatest areas.

Thank you ((((MovinOn)))). I am not sure if we are going to get it, it has been up for rent for about a month now but I guess they're showing it again on Weds. I am hoping for the best but realistically, not expecting to move there now :(. We have to pay our 1st, last, and deposit off in parts. So if these people have all of it upfront we're screwed. The only thing I can hope for is that they either don't like the place or they are in a similar financial situation as us.

My girlfriend told the lady (property manager) that I have ptsd :confused:, I guess I can see being upfront but really? I am not too thrilled she did that :mad:, but she said the lady said that the place would be perfect. The owner said he thinks it's a good fit but that letting us pay it off like that is a big risk for him. I feel bittersweet right now, bitter about my girlfriend doing that. Sweet about the pictures she took.

I truly hope we get this place but I have a really sinking feeling about it.

Just saw the new picture, so cute! Is that a puppy chihuahua? He/she looks like the family chihuahua, when he was little. Super cute MovinOn, thank you for sharing :).

The Chihuahua is Doozer! He's two now and has been Kira's pet since the rescue place asked us if Kira wanted a "little brother" (he was left in a box there at 5 weeks old).

I am wishing you all the luck, Trib, I really hope you get it! It sounds perfect for you. I understand about the PTSD thing. I told one neighbor, thinking she would keep it private, and now my whole neighborhood knows. Meh. Let us know as soon as you know!

Awwww Doozer is a cutie! How old is he now? The chihuahua that looks like dozer looked just like that when he was a pup. Fawn colored, so cute! I wish I could reach into that picture and just cuddle the crap out of the both of them lol.

Thanks Monster, I hope so too. Yeah I wasn't thrilled and still am not thrilled about it but it is what it is now. Hopefully the prayer Safenow put in is heard.
