Hopefully this will lead to getting them help before the first attempt. The current way sure isn't working very well. Something to think about for ourselves in our self evaluation(s) as well.
This fits the times I've self referred myself to the VA psych ward. Admitting I was suicidal was difficult to say the least. I felt like I was being a "drama queen" in saying so. I did have strong thoughts of suicide, but the real indicator for me was just how worthless, and hopeless I felt. I still have thoughts of suicide quite often, but the worthless, hopeless feelings usually aren't nearly as bad, and on occasion I even feel happy on accident. :confused:
