But behavior that's harmful to you and your recovery won't change that She was a friend. She cared about you. Knowing what all you're dealing with, do you really think she'd want you facing her death by behavior that's potentially harmful? How do you think she'd feel about that? It's hard to lose a friend. I know that first hand. Harder yet when the cause is beyond all reason. But it's the job of the living to go forward and honor their memory as best we can. I think she'd rather you followed your medical protocol and took care of yourself. I know I would. :hug:

I am sorry for my deep seated anger at the tragic circumstances of Katie's death , she was my confident for many a year, we shared many deep moments and I will miss her deeply.

advice and bide my time. I have seen too many deaths in my short life to become emotionally involved. Especially the death of my first patient when I was only sixteen.

I think your anger is totally justified. Friends like that are precious and so very hard to lose! They can't ever be replaced, not really. But, you're also dealing with some serious medical issues yourself. Part of the process of recovering from all the traumas you've dealt with is learning to make it through times like this without self destructing.

I know about missing people deeply......... My take on it is it's our duty to honor them by living as best we can with their memories in mind.

I will follow tour advice and bide my time.
