Only rule about the teddy is you bring one. Small or large it is up to you. Mine is a small lilac one my granddaughter calls Majic Bear. ;)

I book and pay for things so hubby can't back out, which is what I will do with the train tickets. We live close enough just to come for the day.

(((Rainydaze))), I so get the getting lost thing. I would be the same. Luckily, I visit York to visit my daughter, plus my H will come with me.

As Amethist says, we usually organise it so the one or two people you feel comfortable with have your phone number. We do this by PM, I'm happy for those attending to have my number.

Re teddys, my comfort teddy at home is quite large, however I have a lovely squishy teddy who used to live on my desk at work, so I will bring him.

The only rule of these get togethers, IMHO, is do what is best for you.

@KP and Ice: Can you PM some details of the cheap as chips places please? I'm on a student budget! Thanks.

My comfort teddy bear isn't actually a bear... It's an elephant (should I disguise him as a bear? It'd be bad to discriminate against him because he's different)! And like you KP, it's pretty big. Still, I could fit him in a backpack ;). I will PM you all when I've booked everything; a bit too anxious to do it just now, but I will in the next couple of days.

I have been thinking what we can do if the weather is wet in York. We have to have a back up plan in the UK

No problem we just descend on th e railway museum as I know there is a big area where we can all sit and eat our picnics. There are some seats at the bottom end of the museum, if they are still there LOL.
