Safenow,
From hearing others with MPD discuss these things you mention sound totally normal. Of course your little one doesn't know how to navigate these things so well. What 4 year old. And it was probably her that experienced that horrible stuff in the past so no wonder she came out. Do you think she has worked through that experience properly and that you have?

That's what PTSd triggers do. They come out of nowhere and take us back to the past. And then if you have MPD then they bring out that part too from what I understand.

It sounds like you just didn't totally pre empt with your usual skills because you didn't realise she was still so dominant.

Darn triggers. ((((Safenow))). I hope your little one feels better soon.

Abstract, that is why I wanted to talk to my therapist about it. I don't think she's totally got it out of her system. For me, it was long enough ago, and so much other trauma has replaced it, I tend to shut that part out. But it was the first, so I can tell we need to work on it. But it didn't happen. So, life goes on.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate your responses for me.
