New Here
Hi everyone,
My name is Christie Thompson and I am a reporter for a news outlet called The Marshall Project -- a nonprofit website that covers criminal justice and legal issues. I am working on a story that I hope will shed more light on the experiences of police officers that deal with PTSD as a result of on-the-job trauma, and explore how police departments and city governments can better support officers. Anthony Parsons gave me the go-ahead to post on here, and said he would post my contact information for me. If there's anyone here that might be willing to speak with me about their experiences, and how your police department supported (or didn't support) you during this time, I would be so appreciative. I don't have to use your name or identifying information if that's a concern. Even if you just have concerns or thoughts about how the media has covered this issue in the past, I would love to hear from you.

I apologize if my posting here is at all intruding in what seems like an incredible resource and supportive community. I promise that I would never use anything posted in this site, and am just hoping to connect with anyone that is interested in helping me do justice to what I think is an important and under-reported story.
Thanks so much for your time,
Christie
