Serious ! Be Careful With Med Switches

Hi all been a while since Bailey and I been on/

They recently switched all my meds. dropped tylenol codiene and cymbalta. I am now on Tramadol and Lyrica. (and about 9 other things) I have been getting short blackouts. especially associated with high anxiety levels. Docs arent sure if its meds switch or what but the wife wont let me drive,hunt,go to the range or use power tools, until they figure this shit out.
Then last night in my infinite wisdom. I had a blackout walked thru a metal baby gate -yes I said through it-and bounced down 6 tiled steps.Luckily I didnt go through teh stained glass window as well. Long story short, several hours later multiple x rays and a trip to the VA -Emergency room- I broke 2 ribs and have cracked my pelvis on the left side. So now they had to add Robaxin and I'm sitting sideways in my recliner hurting like hell with an icepack on my ass.

The moral of this story is when the wife says take it easy until we figure out why you keep getting these blackouts- Listen to her.

The dogs are doing very well. The avatar dog just turned 12 yrs old...

we r doing great (besides me kicking my own ass) settling in to new home in Spokane WA. Dog program is still going strong we have turned out 10 teams so far this year by years end we should have 12. Unfortunatley I dont think I'll ever run out of Veterans who need these wonderful Service Dogs.

Hey mate, they took me off the Panadeine Forte, equivelent to your Tylenol & Condeine. And I am on Tramadol SR 200mg and Lyrica.

The Lyrica is a double edged sword working both on Neuropathic Pain and also an anti psychotic. I have recently upped my dose to 300 mg twice a day in the hope it kills the pain associated with my back.
We will wait and see.

I don't think either of those two would cause your blackouts. It might be the loss of the other drugs.

I saw neuro psych and they are ordering a CT Scan with dye contrast they say its not med or cardiac. they think its related to my TBI- I'll keep ya'll in the loop
