Hi Lav,

Welcome to the forum, you will find much information and support here.

Quite a lot of us have had traumas since childhood and can relate to you. I would have posted to your introduction sooner, but is has been a bad week, and I need to calm myself before I responded.

I am so glad that you have found this forum and that you have a supportive partner in your life. Its great to hear. I am sure you will find your way around the forum and make some new friends as I have.

All my love, PS xxoo

Hi Lav,

I, too, have suffered with PTSD since about the same age as you. It has become part of my personality as well. This forum has been a tremendous help to me and I certainly hope that it will be for you, also. Look forward to reading more from you. Take care.

Hello Lav,

My trauma began at age 5 too. Still, I have found that through a dedication to therapy, medication/stress management, etc. that all of my PTSD symptoms have decreased in frequency and severity.:) So it can get better!!!

Having a good support network such as the good people of this forum continues to be a great part of my healing, so it would be unfair to say that I got to this point of healing on my own. I hope that you will continue on as a member here and take 'advantage' of the great sources of information and support.

My best to you,
LH

Hiya Lav
Not sure about the whole follow someone option thing and the chat room is always empty when I go there too, but if you hang around for a while, someone usually pops in.
Have you started a trauma diary yet??

Thanks for your help, KP has directed me to a help page, all cool. No, I haven't started a diary yet. Read all the info about get started then chickened out, I'm sure I'll get around to it.

How are you going? Hope you are doing ok.

To PS, thanks so much for taking some time to make me feel welcome, especially when you have had such a hard time of it this week just gone. Sincere thanks xx

CaringMomma, your post of how you can relate warms my heart but at the same time breaks my heart, if that makes any sense. Double edged sword. Looking forward to hearing from you again too.

LH, your kind supportive words are very encouraging, thank you. I do intend to use this forum and the people in it to help with the healing, I know it's not going to happen overnight. My best to you also.

I must say to everyone I hope you all receive a blessing of somekind for your kindness.

Welcome to the forum!

My story is similar to yours. I was first diagnosed at age 4. Many years of trauma and many years of therapy pretty much sum up my life.

I am glad that you have found the forum. I really hope that it helps you as much as it has me.

CaringMomma, good, you deserve it.

DGN, thanks for you post. When did you start your therapy? If you don't mind me asking. And yes, this forum has helped me heaps already. Glad to hear it has/is helping you.
