Well, over the holiday, I did vent at my father (after not seeing him for about 4 years), which was absolutely pointless. I tried to get him to validate things and he refused.

Try not to knock yourself down. Healing and recovery take a lot of work.

It feels so good when I say something useful to somebody else. Thanks for your thanks, Hope. I think I write about the present because I'm so afraid of facing my ghosts from the past. Something to be said for doing some of both, I guess. Here's hoping you find some peace in your march.
