((((((((((((James))))))))))))

I've missed you so much!!!

Can you tell us more of your adventures, send pics, etc? (I know mobile is limiting.)
It's so incredibly wonderful to see you, my friend and mentor!

Please take good care on those rocks! Must be a powerful way of staying focused and present!
Love,
Deer

Hi PH! So glad to hear from you! Thanks for saying hello.

Hi deer_in_headlights...climbing helped me a lot when growing up. I did bunches of it, Joshua Tree is fabulous for this. I got climbing shoes to help me motivate. My leg (muscle ashesions) is still messed up. It's hard and painful to motivate for the PT I need. The climbing is helpful. I got some really soft shoes, and started practicing on some huge boulders with lower angle slab climbs. Went out twice with friends, followed a climb that was 5.7 (modertatly easy).

Climbing is helping my brain; lots of amazing old memories (mostly good!) and other healthy stuff. I can get a pic down the road and probably post it for you, and others....

Thank you deer_in_headlights, and thanks to everyone else too. Hope you all are doing well and getting stonger!

Hi James! I saw this and had to reply my 7 y/o daughter LOVES rock climbing! There's an indoor place that we goto here in Ct. and she's actually gotten quite good. She can climb all the way up to the top and ring the bell now! You should see her face beam

.

There's also a rope "wall" and she climbs all the way to the top blind-folded

and then they have the kids turn around and drop them like a sack of potatos! The first time the guy did it I thought she was going to sh*t her pants. LOL. It was really funny. If I ever find out how to put pictures on here. I'd love to post one of her climbing!

Hello Heather! Hello Jadebear!

Heather, that is one awesome photo of your daughter climbing! Thanks so much for posting. As far as I can remember, the. Manufacture of holds for indoor climbing started back in the mid/late 80's. Climbing gyms (indoor) are so great, have brought the whole thing to a new lever - fun for family, fun for kids! Awesome. At Joshua tree I see many young people about the age my kids would be, fully equipped, out there giving it all they got. Great sport. Joshua tree is now one on the most popular climbing places worldwide. Also, I think Hans Florine trains kids...for climbing El capitan! His site found with google searches: hans florine - nose in a day (the Nose is a climbing route, BTW).

Thanks so much for posting the nice pic!

James, dear one, so glad to see you back! Have been thinking of you and wishing you well.
